moosebutter news and musings

Tim Tim - Wed, 13 Jul 2005 9:25 am

new downloads for YOU

To honor Harry Potter, which we do in an creepily obsessive-kind of way, we've put up the faux-British version of our tune for you to enjoy. Also, a link to a sample from our newly-mixed and rather cool regular (if you can call anything we do regular) version. Also, a link to where you can buy this new mix, and / or the whole new CD, UDDER WON.

And, be sure to listen to our album mega-mix, also for free.

New fan art, too.

Message from fans in MA

This is an email we got from... well, just read it. If you've got your own story to tell, please post it in the guestbook or email it daboyz@moosebutter.com

Hey Tim, Chris, Glen & Wes

I direct "5-Alone", a high school a cappella group at the Pioneer Valley Performing Arts Charter Public School in Hadley, MA. You may have heard of us.....the first high school group EVER to be admitted to compete in the National Harmony Sweeps (Boston semi-finals).

Anyway, we love your stuff, and I transcribed your arrangement of "Star Wars" for them just so we could sing it as we waited in line for Star Wars last week AT MIDNIGHT on Wednesday (sneak preview). There were hundreds of character-clad fans in line, and we went several hours early to sing for them all. The local NPR radio station did a story on us
( http://publicbroadcasting.net/wfcr/news/content/773706.html ).
I actually took all of my students to see the movie that night - it was a blast.

I hope you don't mind that I transcribed your song without permission; I apologize for not asking first. I thought you might want to know about our fanatical Star Wars stories, since you sound like fans yourselves. Let us know if you ever come out east and we'll all be there to see you. Heck, we'll open for you and help round up an audience - you guys deserve to be heard!

Regards,

Tony Lechner
Director, 5-Alone

Where are YOU going to see Star Wars? When? And how many times are you going to sing our Star Wars medley to your clad-as-Sith friends in line?

We hereby give you permission to download the Star Wars medley for FREE and burn as many copies as you need to entertain every person in line at the local ultramegaplex next week. Go on, ENTERTAIN THEM already. 'cuz you're already in line, right? Right.

Click on the free stuff link.

Also, this week, avoid lava if you're a jedi-turned-bad. Just a warning.
